How-To

Getting Started

  1. All you’ll need is a cup of water to rinse your brush between colors.

  2. Don’t toss the packaging! The wrapping makes a great drying space for your painted pieces, and the backing doubles as both a puzzle surface and a sturdy base for your finished artwork.

Painting

  1. Before you open the paint packet, give it a gentle message to be sure the pigment and medium are fully mixed.

  2. Paint on the blank side of the piece.

  3. Work with one color at a time so your paints stay fresh and don’t dry out.

Puzzling

  1. Choose a hard, flat surface that’s easy to move around—you’ll need to flip your puzzle later to adhere it all together.

  2. Puzzle together the pieces inside the frame. Tape down the frame to keep everything in place. (Tip: The tape from the packaging works perfectly!)

Finishing

Be sure to build your puzzle on a rigid surface you can flip. Place another board or firm surface on top, hold them together, and flip carefully.

Now it’s time to adhere the pieces together.

  • Pro Finish: Spread a coat of strong liquid adhesive (like wood glue or Gorilla Glue for wood) across the back. Lay your backing board on top and press it down with something heavy for 20–30 minutes. Once dry, carefully trim the board to size.

  • Quick & Easy: Cover the back with strips of double-sided tape. Press the backing board down firmly so every piece sticks.
